This jar has a straight mouth, short neck, robust shoulders, and a rounded bulging belly. The lower part of the abdomen gradually tapers inward, and both the interior and exterior are covered with glaze. The jar has a sturdy and dignified appearance, with relatively thick walls. The foot is left unglazed, which is a distinctive foot trimming method specific to the Yuan Dynasty. On three sides of the jar, fish are the main decorative motif, accompanied by lotus, water hyacinth, and aquatic plants. The fish are depicted in various postures, with clear variations in intensity, creating a three-dimensional visual effect. Around the neck of the jar, there is a wave pattern, which was a popular decorative motif on porcelain and bronze ware during the Song and Yuan Dynasties, adding a unique characteristic to this piece.
